Having left Fulham’s academy, after spending his whole youth career there, Djed joined Middlesbrough following a successful trial period. It didn’t take long for Djed to settle and he went on to make his debut in the EFL Cup against Notts County at the end of 2018.

However, Djed’s major breakthrough came in the 2019/20 season making his league debut in a 1-0 win over Charlton. He kept his good run of form going by scoring his first goal for the club in a 1-0 win against Huddersfield in December 2019.
Following on from his first month in first team football, Djed won the EFL Young Player of the Month award with 3 wins, 3 clean sheets and a goal in his first 3 games for Middlesbrough in the Championship.
